A house in a cemetary

Last evening, Mike and Sian, (the people who were here on Saturday who have a little girl dog) came to collect Maesffynnon Becker. I think that is how to spell it but Mummy Calypso is asleep so I can't ask her to check. He was very happy to go with them and he went off in their car without a glance! They are all very confident but I do hope that he slept well and didn't wake anyone up! Mummy and daddy said that they are missing the puppies who have gone, but it is a lot quieter for them and that's important as they are both quite old. I overheard something really funny yesterday: mummy was talking to Uncle Phil (who is her brother) on the phone and they were talking about a church that is ready for conversion into a house but which is in the middle of a graveyard. The graveyard isn't for sale and mummy did point out that the neighbours would be very quiet. I don't think that we will buy it although it would be fun to play around all the graves!

autumn won't be long!

The days are going by so fast and I don't know how to slow them down to enjoy some more of the summer before Autumn comes. On Saturday the new mummy and daddy for one of my babies came to see us again and we all ( including Auntie Claire and Uncle Mark sat outside on the terrace with my puppies running around. I am pleased that they will be looking after one of my babies and they have a little girl dog who will be good for him to play with. Yesterday, one of my babies went to live a long way away in Southampton. When he got there, he had his own supper and tried to eat supper belonging to another setter. (it was yummy pilchards!) He wasn't car sick and he doesn't seem to have missed us at all, which is good. Uncle Jethro said that we are going to keep two of my babies and I hope that they won't expect me to pick up after them. I think I deserve a holiday. On Tuesday it was very exciting because uncle geoff and auntie sonia came to see us and guesss what? They are having a holiday in Australia at Christmas and Molly and Rufus will come to stay with us.

my auntie Ellie

There's so much to say and I forgot to say lots of it last time I wrote. I didn't say that Auntie Claire, Uncle Mark, Uncle Ben, Faraday and Auntie Ellie all came to my house on Thursday. Auntie Claire, Uncle Mark and Auntie Ellie were all going to stay in North Wales for a week, while Faraday, who is a fluffy cat stayed with us. Uncle Ben who is a vet in London stayed with us until Sunday afternoon. He came to see mummy and daddy but also to see Auntie Ruby who still is not well and he also wanted to see the beautiful puppies. He thought they were excellent!
On Friday they are all coming back from North Wales and I hope that they have bought a present for me! Daddy is taking Uncle Jethro and Vijay away on Saturday to stay in a hotel and go to a show on Sunday, but they will miss me. Auntie Claire and uncle Mark are staying until Sunday and Auntie Claire really likes to make nice things to eat. YUM YUM. I had a lovely message from EbbwVale the other day. It was very very exciting and I read it to the puppies who loved it too!

did someone steal the plant pots?

Well, that was really odd; daddy let us out o nto the terrace and there were no plant pots there! It was odd really because I know for a fact that the puppies had been gardening the previous day and had got some of the plants looking just so. Uncle Jethro said that daddy had taken them away for the winter plants to be planted, but I thought that Jethro looked a bit shifty when he said that! On Saturday some really nice people came to see my puppies who really did enjoy showing off. I think Vijay was happy to see them too because he was bouncing about all over the place. Granny Kate came out to see them and she chased sun-reflections on the wall! Mummy Calypso who is, of course the puppies' granny met them as well. I do think that they liked all my babies! We are getting used to getting up very early again, but mummy and daddy are looking forward to half term whatever that may be!

back to school!

I couldn't believe it on Monday morning when mummy woke everyone up at 6AM! It was not really very light and we were all very sleepy. When I asked Uncle Jethro what was going on, he said that it was the start of a new school year. Poor mummy she has to go to school every day while we play and have fun! The puppies are very fat and have loads of fun playing with their toys outside and time is going fast for us all.
This weekend some more people are coming to see the puppies and they are all looking forward to showing off!!!

the nights are drawing in!

Since I last wrote my blog, I have been a very busy girl! My puppies are getting big and strong and do a lot of running around outside in the fresh air. Sometimes, when I am sitting watching them, I wonder what they will be like when they grow up. Of course they will be very intelligent, I can see that by the way they play.
We have had a lot of visitors and they all make a big fuss of me and then rush off to see the puppies. Some people have even tried standing them like we stand in a show and they are only six weeks old!
Today, we were outside playing and then all of a sudden, I noticed that the sky was beginning to get darker and it was only half past eight!
Auntie Ruby says that she is feeling much better and she certainly looks better. I am so pleased. Next week, mummy is going back to school and she will not have a holiday until half term! Poor thing.
